My stupid stitch fell out of my chin yesterday, so now instead of a stitch I have a HOLE in my face. Really??? I called the emergency number, okay not really an emergency, but I was curious what I should do. I know, I'm a nurse, I should know. I don't do stitches, unless they dissolve. The PA told me not to worry about it since it had been 3 days, just keep it covered as much as possible. Sure, cause that looks awesome. Addison stares at my chin and laughs when I wear a bandaid. Really? She's 2!!
The results of the biopsy were called to me today, basal cell carcinoma. Really?? I get to have surgery on my face. Again. Like my chin isn't prominent enough, I get to have a nice scar. On the bright side no more ugly red spots.
I suppose if this is the worst thing happening with us right now, I will take it. I just hope this is the light at the end of the tunnel, I don't want anymore stitches on my face. (Well, I don't really want stitches anywhere on me.) I am not now nor have I ever been a sun worshiper. I still think that it is a hormonal thing from being pregnant with Addison. So I suppose we will see if anything new "pops" up this time.
Thanks for checking in!
